We’re celebrating the 60th anniversary of the UK release of The Who’s debut album, My Generation, on this day in 1965 with a two-part ‘60th Anniversary Special’ episode, available exclusively to our Talking About The Who Members, alongside a video extract on our YouTube channel

One year ago today, the first episode of ‘Talking About The Who’ was released.

(…although I did schedule it to be released at midnight in the UK, so it would’ve been 19th November in America…whoops!...)

It’s been quite a year, let me tell you. A heartfelt thankyou to all of you for listening over the past 12 months and giving such positive feedback.

When I started this whole venture, I could never have imagined how lucky I’d be with the special guests I’d have on the podcast during the first year: Jody Linscott; Chris Charlesworth; Irish Jack; Mr Boulder; Tony Fletcher; Ethan Fisher and Bets Crockett; Matt Kent; Mandy Moon; Andy Neill; Dante DiCarlo; Dan Epstein; Buddy Ascott; Richard Evans; and Colin Dawson. I’m incredibly grateful to all of them for not only agreeing to be on the podcast, but for the help, support and encouragement they’ve all given me, too.

I have to say an extra big thankyou to our Members, all of whom are doing their bit to support the podcast and keep it going. Also, a special mention must go to the wonderful human beings who’ve helped me create bonus content for our Members, namely our ‘60th Anniversary Special’ episodes and our Who-discussion show, ‘The Members Room’: Bets Crockett; Matt Weston; Jason Gifford; Dante DiCarlo; Ethan Fisher; and Dan Epstein.

All being well, 2026 will see the release of Season Three…AND Season Four. There’ll be more YouTube videos, along with more bonus content for our Members. And I’m planning to start work on another Who-related project sometime next year, too, but more on that later.

I now invite you to celebrate our first birthday in any way you see fit.
