Aw :( I know the feel. I'd recommend focusing on lighting the whole piece rather than individual parts for exercise, but squimshii on tt has a pretty fast-paced tutorial on rendering hair if you'd like to watch that one! I also recommend xhs tutorials if you're comfy being a mainly visual learner :]
