This week we travel to the city of Chefchaouen in Morocco! It's nicknamed "The Blue City" as it's medina, or the inner walled part of the city used for defense in medieval warfare, is painted blue and white.
You can also find many traditional fountains throughout the city.
If you ever have the chance to visit the beautiful island, you can sample this appetizer at one of the numerous tavernas. All of their family recipes have the perfect combination of Middle Eastern, Mediterranean, and Aegean culture to influence their dish.
For those interested in the festival, it's hosted around middle to late October. The best way to get to the city is to fly or take a train to Kitakyushu on the island of (the western most of the four main islands of Japan). Then take the Sonic Nichirin Hyuga train to Nakatsu.
The meat is marinated before being coated in a combination of flour, corn starch, and potato starch. An entire festival regarding karaage can be experienced in Nakatsu in the Oita province.
This week is dedicated to Japan. So for our dish today we have the delicious karaage. This is a traditional dish with a specific way of deep frying food. Most commonly chicken is used with other cuts of meat and even fish as options too.
Due to sickness, there is no Wander Wednesday. Instead here's one of the many quotes I heard throughout college that inspired me to become a travel agent.
"The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page" - Saint Augustine
Continuing our expedition in South Africa, we have a delicacy known as tomato bredie. The term bredie in Malaysian meant spinach. However the Afrikaans adapted version of the word translates to stew. To adapt to local crops, tomatoes were used in place of spinach. (1/2)
The key components of a delicious tomato bredie besides the obviously named ingredient are mutton ribs, chilli powder, cardamom, cinnamon, and cloves. If you ever visit South Africa, be sure to try the dish on a bed of rice! (2/2)

Prefer mammals? Nearby is also a family of Dassies, or more formally known as Rock hyrax. Watch as their children roll around on the dirt and pop their heads out of the tunnels they dug. Come find your joy in South Africa! (3/3)
Located about an hour away from Capetown, Stony Point is home to the third largest Cape penguin breeding colony.
A boardwalk offered throughout the reserve allows visitors to be able to watch the day to day life of these majestic birds without interfering with their natural ways of living. (2/3)
And lastly Sunset Sundays will be a beautiful sunset to celebrate our followers making it through another week in their lives. A reminder to not be afraid of smelling the roses every once in a while.
Food Fridays will be about unique dishes that we feel travelers should get a sample of on their trip. A treat that after they try it, it makes them want to learn how to create it when they get back home!
Wander Wednesdays will be about locations often off the beaten path from where first timers to a country will usually overlook. Or even countries that we feel deserve an equal amount of love to some of the more hot spots atm like Italy and Japan.
