The leader is the strongest and dumbest one, while the ones that get stuck in cave are strong but arent very controllable, so the cave bond with them.
So the slimes protect the tribe , and use the warriors lust to reproduce more.
So they kinda have a symbiotic relationship with the tribe

Not all of them , the generals/leader ( Slimes in disguise ) train the warriors to be egocentric , they are "strong and powerfull" but they lack willpower to do anything outside fighting.
So the slimes just take the bodies of those orcs and give them so much lust that they get into a ecstasy state.
