Side note: C++ is a wild language, y'all. Why does anyone use it? ...asks a person who's been actively using it for about 20 years 😆 I should learn Rust, but I'm just not sure it solves the issues I hate about C++, e.g. how it makes it unnecessarily convoluted to write efficient code.

Well, I was so optimistic, but #CMake decided it has no idea how to tell an executable it built how to find a library it also built and knows the executable depends on, and I've spent 2 hours just searching for how to solve that. I hate CMake so much. This is such a simple situation.
I think I might stream this evening (starting in a few hours) for the first time in months. I have so much that I'm excited to do. I'll probably be writing some code today 🖥️😺

The deadline for Canadians to respond to the Canadian government's A.I. adoption strategy survey (or emailing them) is this Friday, October 31st, probably today by the time you're reading this. Please let them know you want them to stop allowing A.I. companies to hurt us and the fabric of society.
You can email complaints about the premise and set-up of the questionnaire to ISED: [email protected].
You can even tell them they're not acting in accordance with the Directive on the Management of Communications and Federal Identity, as all the jargon makes it inaccessible to the public.

Please wear a mask in crowds, such as at conventions or protests, not just for yourself, but for others' safety. I can't safely go to conventions, since I have chronic breathing issues and so few people wear masks. Wearing a mask in public sucks, but I have to *and* my breathing sucks.

Random drama take nobody expected: I knew that Microsoft Word has supported documents of over 5000 pages for 18 years, since the file format spec is a Word document that big, but I'm still surprised that Google Docs supports a 1000 page document 😸 #iykyk Also, fuck Microsoft and fuck Google.
