The allegations against Gill relate to a legal letter sent to a whistleblower, not her correspondence with the police, and are unproven until a full hearing

Gill and Carter-Ruck deny all wrongdoing and have applied to dismiss the case in full on the basis that “it does not raise any proper issue of professional misconduct and/or has no real prospect of success”
tbij.bsky.social
“We cannot necessarily stop the police taking these actions during an investigation,” Gill wrote in one email

“But we need to complain about it and give the [police] cause to doubt their investigation and to force them to question if they are on the right track”

The revelations are detailed in a 1283-page court bundle disclosed in an ongoing tribunal against Carter-Ruck partner Claire Gill for her work on behalf of OneCoin – whose co-founder is now on the FBI’s most wanted list

We’ve obtained data showing that more than 7,000 workers have gone to the government’s employment tribunal penalty enforcement scheme since it was launched in 2016 – 75% of them did not get their money

That’s £36m in unpaid funds

In Australia, Germany and Denmark it is illegal to own such dolls, while the UK prohibits the importation and sale of them

Last month, one man was given an 18-month community order for importing a sex doll – as well as offences involving indecent or prohibited images

When we contacted one of the sites posing as a potential customer concerned about getting a doll through customs, the business replied saying that they “have a lot of clients from the UK and most of them have bought over two dolls from us”
