Cedar-handled bottle opener. Because cedar is so much softer than the hardwoods I usually use, I modified my process a bit.
The handle is a bit shorter to reduce the max leverage that can be applied. I also flooded the handle with thin CA clue, hence the gloss finish.

Having a rough day so I posted a tribute to my wife.
My wife is making chili in the crock pot for tomorrow, and I'm making Cajun red beans and rice on the stove for tonight. The kitchen smells confusing. Wonderful, sure. But confusing.

While I was parking I watched someone exit the lab then immediately go into the dispensary, presumably after several weeks of cannabis abstinence.
The tech assured me they rarely get cross-contamination from being next to the dispensary. Gotta love a tech with a dark sense of humor. 😂

Drug testing for a new job, got sent to "Any Lab Test Now!" which has a flashing LED "OPEN" sign. It is in a run down strip mall next to a dispensary where they sell things that cause a positive hit on the test, and things that are supposed to prevent a positive hit on the test.

So, this happened last night.
Cedar bowl from limb crotch. It is sitting on the lathe but I know I need to up my photo game for store listings. The chatoyance in the heartwood is amazing but I do not know yet how to capture it well in a still photo. Maybe need to do video for that.
