I was kidnapped today @ work by two of my bosses to go to the new clinic being built up the street from us, and it's huge. HUGE. I think I'm the first of the employees to see the inside of the clinic (other than Doc, his wife, & the practice manager). Ego is definitely stroked for the honor.

We did our 'normal' Thanksgiving meal today so we'd have more time to cook and clean up. Roasted chicken with dressing and corn. We have a homemade custard pie in the oven right now (pics later when it's done), and my baking heart is happy to have gotten to make pie entirely from scratch again.

My weekend is over. Today is "take your furkid to work" day - not really. I'm just taking mine because she's due for a couple of shots and a couple of things she will be unhappy about. Yesterday she got a bath. This is not a very thanksgiving week for my little pixie clown.

Looking forward to this.
It's been bliss living in a bigger city again after over 10 years in a small one. It's wonderful to live closer to everything we need and want rather than having to drive extra to get to it all. It's also wonderful to live somewhere that feels far more progressive - even for Texas!

One thing that moving from one town to another has taught me is that I have too much Norns damned stuff. How did I have that many teapots? (I still do, btw, I'm only donating two of them.) Absolutely insane. So many boxes going to Goodwill tomorrow (4 went last week).

My two and a half days off have been spent mostly unpacking and organizing. The New Shire Tea Room still has a little ways to go, but we have more floor space now than when we started, more boxes gone through, repacked, and more stuff donated. Work tomorrow is an upstairs social media day.
