I honestly think Helluva Boss’s interpretation of the Sins is one of the most nuanced and interesting takes on the 7 deadly sins. It feels like a deconstruction of WHY each behavior is sinful and it usually comes down to the fact that these behaviors can harm others when taken to extremes.

One of Roger Elbert’s core philosophies when it came to to writing about film is that even the most scathingly negative review he could give to a movie should read like a positive review from somebody else’s perspective.

He’s also the only person to ever win a Nobel Prize for film criticism.

We live in a society where we're not supposed to enjoy things. We're supposed to analyze them down to the most minute detail to "objectively prove" if it's good or not. Why can't you just enjoy the thing despite the flaws?
