WIP of a kingfisher i sketched out a few weeks ago - couldn't sleep so i figured i'd work on it a bit. still havent decided if i want to leave the sky white behind the bird, or just do some simple clouds.

I got myself a set of HIMI gouache for my birthday and I've been playing around with them. It's gonna take some getting used to them, how they blend, how they don't. So far I'm having fun doing my best Lisa Frank impression with colours.

I got hit hard today with the 1-2 combo of fatigue and brain fog, so despite wanting to be better at sticking to my stream schedule, I spent the whole day in bed.

Monday's stream should be good to go, and will be a themed art day - everything orange for Auri's 5th birthday. Yes, my cat's birthday.

Got some granulating paints as a birthday present (a couple days early, but what the hey) and tried 'em out on on the Arches paper that came along with them. These are gonna be fun.

Tried playing around with gouache in addition to watercolor and shockingly I don't hate it. Guess I'll have to play around some more and see if I can add it in to my usual mix of medias. The unicorn is shimmery, the scanner just doesn't show it.

I've had pretty bad brain fog this week and my attention span has been basically zero before I just zone out completely for minutes at a time. Docs still dunno why.

Finished up the fairy horse! The wings are colorshift paint from Dreamland Watercolor and shimmer like dragonfly wings, which looks much better cool in person. Painted live on Twitch, and finished offline.

Apparently I'm still in a horsey mood. This one will have shimmery rainbow wings, dragonflyish. At least that's the plan. Guess time will tell if it works. The lines are the Bombay inks by Dr Ph Martin's, and they're a lot of fun to work with.
