Black Flag - Damaged (1981)

I am still cool with anything that’s “Anti-Parent”. #Vinyl
The Soft Boys - Moonlight Underwater (1980)

Finally getting around to this, the 45th anniversary pressing. It sounds fantastic. #Vinyl
The Ramones - The Ramones (1978)

The beginning of Punk Rock music. #Vinyl

Steely Dan - Can’t Buy A Thrill (1972)

Been stuck in my head since seeing the One Battle After Another needle drop. #Vinyl
Level 42 - World Machine (1986)

This album feels like the most “1980s” album ever recorded. It sounds amazing. #Vinyl
The Hold Steady - Stay Positive (2008)

The Hold Steady are one of those bands that just doesn’t miss. This, their 4th album in five years, is just as great as everything that had come before. #Vinyl
Gyedu-Blay Ambolley - The Message

Analog Africa is a fantastic reissue label. This is some nice synth heavy Afro Beat from a Ghanaian music legend. #Vinyl
Prince - Dirty Mind (1980)

All killer, no filler. “When You Were Mine” is one of my all time favorite songs. #Vinyl
I’ve got like 30 more from Stereolab, Pulp, Jeff Tweedy, Lifeguard, Rocket, Momma, Florry, Fust, Friendship, Panda Bear, Liquid Mike, Water Damage, Orcutt Shelly Miller, Ben Kweller, Cory Hanson, Bill Fox, Lily Seabird, Case Oats, Ty Seagull, Sharp Pins, Neu Bloom, The Armed, Turnstile, etc…, etc…
I think it’s been a great year for new releases. Lots of really cool shit. Along with Wednesday, some other faves:

Geese - Getting Killed
Water From Your Eyes - It’s A Beautiful Place
Horsegirl - Phonetics On & On
Greg Freeman - Burnover
Ryan Davis & The Roadhouse Band - New Threats From The Soul
The other big bummer about Wednesday as a touring act is MJ Lenderman, isn’t a touring member any more. I would go see them regardless as they are fantastic live but MJ adds some extra juice.
If you see this, qrp with a game released the year you were born
White Stripes - Elephant (2003)

Hoping that if I play “Seven Nation Army” loud enough it will inspire the Illini to score som points. #Vinyl
