Sidelines Missouri State 10.25.25 – Is There A Lost City in the Amazon Rainforest?
Daniel and Micah worked with Brianne Edwards of the OEWRI to do some XRF on some obsidian blades.

These obsidian blades were found in West Mexico, Las Animas, found as offerings in front of an altar.

Welcome our newest team member, Cora Darmody! Cora is a research assistant for Terra Incognita. She graduated from Missouri State University in 2025 with degrees in Anthropology, Archaeology, and Sociology; along with certificates in Cultural Anthropology, and Ancient Worlds.
Our very own Chris Bodine met with the Immaculate Conception LEGO Robotics Team to support their Unearthed challenge, inspired by archaeology!! Chris talked to the kids about what archaeologists do, the challenges they face, and practiced hands-on artifact identification and classification.

TEO-WEST in the News‼️ Now in the thick of the analysis portion of the TEO-WEST project, Daniel just gave an interview to Missouri State University about the recent trip to Mexico. A big thank you to the university for helping with some funding for the project.
