Yay, time for a new #PortfolioDay post! Here's some recent work for my next book, Edge of the Storm. Goal is to have it finished by this fall, aiming for early 2026 release.

Unfortunately, Bluesky is unavailable in Mississippi right now, due to a new state law that requires age verification for all users.

While intended for child safety, we think this law poses broader challenges & creates significant barriers that limit free speech & harm smaller platforms like ours.

After almost a month of nothing, I'm finishing up the chapter leading into the climax of Edge of the Storm. I find myself rethinking scenes as I go along, and there's a hell of a lot of "OOO YEAH THIS SHIT GON' BE GOOD" in there.

This is reminding me why I love writing these goofy books. 😀

Always a trip when you change a minor part of a scene and immediately think "OH NO, HOW WILL OUR INTREPID HEROES ESCAPE THIS DISASTER?!" So much fun hahah.

REALLY excited about the last few chapters now.

Thinking it'll top out at about 140-145,000 words total.
