Isn’t it the worst?! You’re like; “you are an easy plant. You clean the air with ease. How do I sustain you?” Gift plants are the worst too—bc then you feel the plant guilt and gifter guilt.
I don’t want to curse myself—but, surprisingly, the Madagascar jasmine is having a ball and growing like crazy. I’d kill a snake plant within a month, pretty sure!
Thank you, for your plant compassion, Konfusi! I’m not a plant serial killer. Just a lot of “easy” indoor plants seem to die on me. I think the strategy is to simply ignore more.
I like this system. Half glass!
It’s become increasingly clear to me that I most likely overwater or otherwise aggravate plants that would prefer to be left alone.
Same! I can’t grow a succulent to save my life! Yes—plants need to better communicate their needs. Otherwise, they suffer from my munchausen’s by proxy for hydration. In the winter, my plants seem fine. It’s the warmer months when I kill most!
Gorgeous and dreamy!!! Thank you for sharing!! Following for more of your home and garden!
We’d love that! Thank you for the invite! (I’ll return the favor when there’s normalcy and safety and stability.). Now—looking into travel abroad with doggos!
I just want them to feel less ignored and like they are part of a healthy program here. I def, most likely, overwater. Damn
I think that may be one of my problems. But who kills a zz plant? I’ve ignored it for months and it’s acting like I’ve drowned it. Maybe at some point in the summer, I watered it. Dammit.
Thank you for the support! They ARE drama queens. It’s “we’re too soggy; we’re too dry; don’t have enough sun; the indirect light is burning us.” Aw… “shut up yall and grow!”
Fairy sculptures or a fountain? ⛲️ with welcoming flowers along its borders!
🌱 how do I manage to kill the “easy” houseplants? (Including but not limited to: zz plants, snake plants, monstera, cyclamen, African violets, sometimes even peace lilies and lucky bamboo). 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️
Would anyone want to move to Uruguay with me? Go on Adventures. Not be here in the U.S.? Not necessarily romance; but friendship and kindness and humor a must! Just exploration and discussion and people-watching, learning. It doesn’t have to be Uruguay.
🌱. Thearest in the ginko leaves a few years ago. Poorly groomed ears. But, the ears are lovely and flowing now. Sadly, we moved away from the ginko.
GK—I wonder if it’s possible to start a program where cats are trained to simply be “garden cats.” (I like that name). Would cat people get upset? Would cats, themselves, be happy to simply be left to their own outdoor adventures/ endeavors?
Are groundhogs as cute as they look? Bc here—I have moles and voles and rats and they all look like vermin. Now, don’t get me wrong—I’m not anti-chipmunk or mouse. In fact, last year, I had a single mouse on the patio—named Kevin. He was cute, curious—never made a mess. One day, he disappeared.
I totally agree! I’d love for some mean ass barn cat to call my garden home! I’ve been warned not to feed too much; to provide warm shelter. I wish there was a way I could magically attract a protective cat, a crow and an owl. And probably a hawk. My garden would be protected for life!
My good old girl in beautiful Ginko leaves a couple years back!
Who hires a helicopter for residential landscaping?
Def one of the top 10 lately. These people have too much $—to hire a helicopter 🚁?!
When is enough the fck ENOUGH, already?! What time does this begin. Bc if tearing down the White House isn’t enough—ffs—🤬
It’s been awful. 🤦‍♀️.
The squirrels were one thing—now that I think back—they were simply aggravating. But I cannot abide a rat! I’m terrified!
I haven’t been able to put out birdseed or plants on the patio for the past 4 months bc afraid of attracting more vermin.
Our wildlife removal guy (catches and releases)—caught several. And then, he told me abt a rat snake he found in neighborhood next door. I asked him if we could have it. He released it into our garden! He said, immediately, a rat popped out and ran! I would’ve paid good money to see that!
