These people are absolutely not upholding Christian values. Jesus was clear on the need to help the poor, the sick and the weak. The Pope said the same in more modern language.
This is NOT God's work.

I completely agree. We have rules but they are so sparingly and lacklustrely enforced many directors don't have this at the forefront of their thinking.

Because the *government* acted unlawfully, not them, so they are off the hook. The fact that the paperwork shows they directed the government to act unlawfully is too political a case for the law to pursue.

Ahh, voluntary administration I assume. On the basis the company had no debts at the point where it went into administration, (days before the High Court ruling). The administrators still have legal obligations to recover funds and the debtors (us!) can, I think, apply to have them replaced.

But you can declare yourself bankrupt for a few quid and start again. I think it's comparable.

The navy is tiny. Just over 60 fighting ships (all types). Every round of ship buying I recall has been reduced mid contact. Short on weapons. Not enough sailors to fully man both carriers. Huge area to protect.
BUT we have homegrown ship manufacture capability so it's fixable, with time and money.

And where did all the people that were sleeping in tents go? A real Christian would care about that. Creating a nice place for the rich and treating the poor as disposable isn't God's way. Followers of Jesus would turn away from these actions. "Blessed are the poor...". 🙏

The law says you can't have the magazine "in such a way or in such circumstances as to arouse reasonable suspicion" that you support PA. That means it could be legal when you step onto the bus, but ILLEGAL when you step off the bus (because, say, there's a demo going on nearby).
This law is STUPID!

Good report.
It's true Palestine Action was more working class and racially diverse, and Defend Our Juries older and middle class. But I would argue that this is just the people who can disrupt an arms company doing that work, and those that can afford a terrorism arrest doing that. Mutual support.

Next month the High Court will decide if the ban was even legal. If they say it isn't legal the millions spent arresting people, bringing police from as far as Northern Ireland will have been for nothing. Not just madness but massively expensive madness.

And this is the problem. Saying Palestine Action or grannies with signs are terrorists makes no sense, but backing down is politically embarrassing, so out come all the dirty tricks.
Why can't we have politicians honest enough to admit when they make mistakes? And savy enough to listen to people?

I don't understand why this wasn't started on day one. The sooner we have a freeer energy market and lower bills the sooner ordinary people see the rewards from renewables. We have an abundance of potential renewable energy the price should be going down year after year.
