I feel that, I grew up in a veeeery remote place in Germany, too. Was quite awestruck by the level of multiculturalism and byTHINGS just being available lol.

Drawing random shapes as art exercise just always felt boring to me, but anthropomorphizing those shapes and turning them into nonsensical characters made everything far more fun to me. :p
