Just wanted to update everyone on PIC's development. We are still in a hiatus, waiting on mod tools development before we will be working on the overhaul again.

In the mean-time, we are actively working on getting a very high-quality Tangle DD1 port finished. Getting very close!

I thought this one was interesting. One of my better efforts. The color palette more resembles DD2, but the artstyle of DD1. With the bubble not being a pure black... Do you think this is close enough to be Style compliant with DD1? or perhaps the details are too thick.

A couple art questions, if you have the time.

What do you think are the most common issues with those of us trying to replicate your DD1 Style of art?

Can you share what resolution you drew the sprites in? Most of the communty says 2x base DD art, then downsize in SPINE.

The Tangle just got a new coat of paint. I have remade the hallways to really get that nice glow and atmospheric perspective. Now i just need to settle on a tint.

In other news, the Vanilla release of The Tangle is now up for Beta in the discords #wip-mods section.

@bourassa.bsky.social I've been workin hard trying to learn this style, but I don't think I'll ever match the majesty that is the Crypts or Cove entrances. But you've been one hell of an inspiration to my life. Learned to draw and animate thanks to this game. It's been a dream for me.
