The National Railroad Passenger Corporation, or Amtrak, was granted federal funding for a station in Wisconsin's capital and second largest city, but even with rail lines already in place, it could take until the early 2030s for trains to start operating, reports @thebadgerproject.org.

The railroad company got a lot of federal funding for the station in 2021. But even with rail lines already in place, it could be more than a decade before passenger trains come to Wisconsin’s capital.
