Might be an unpopular opinion with #bikedc folks but I don't think these "bikes" have any business in an office building's crowded bike room. eBikes? Sure, but not this monstrosity. The cranks are tiny!

The defense team presses Lairmore on whether the sandwich really 'exploded.' They return to the photo of the sandwich and wrapper on the ground.
"That sandwich hasn't exploded at all, has it?" defense asks.

Glad to hear that E* lives on! This news reminded me that the LNE v1.0 spec + test procedure was published 10 years ago this month. It was the first major "start to finish" project of my consulting career and features arguably my most effective PowerPoint diagram designs

Today Virginia resident Sophia Maltas was sentenced to 45 days in jail for hitting and killing 24-year-old Nina Larson as she was crossing Columbia Road NW in a crosswalk in November 2021. The sentencing hearing was emotionally wrenching and difficult.

A D.C. resident is suing the city and a private company for $500,000 each over claims that one of the company's vans was parked in a downtown bike lane, forcing the resident (who was on bike) to swerve into traffic where he was hit by the trailer on a D.C. government vehicle.

I work across from the Treasury and frequently see what appears to be a dumbwaiter moving between floors inside the windows above the 15th St entrance. Does anyone know its history or what it's currently used for today?

I heard the ~11 gunshots around 7pm last night but assumed fireworks since no one on here mentioned it. The issues at this location seem perpetual but very localized- at least from my perspective a few blocks north.
