Catching up on the Karen Read retrial, 2 things: They bag on her for drinking while driving, but the cop in her car was hammered, like them all; most I know in the hero professions LOVE a high maintenance woman, & always cry over the ex-wife, w/ a cultural truism that they cheat. Karen was typical.

Makes me sick to use the camera I take into the field in my travels to capture nature & wildlife to then photograph the drug users outside my living room for my friendly cop. I’m careful they can’t see me. Then those ugly images get into my feed. He’s right: I’m a victim of crime everyday.

Noticed a fave restaurant parking lot had become a gathering place for a group of Armenian men. Asked about it: they’re all delivery drivers who pal while waiting. Okay! Since they started their hang, though: every exterior surface is covered in cigarette butts. Cultural drawback. Bothers me tons.

May Day protests brought neighbors with signs outside my place, to make cars honk in support! and I wish to God I hadn’t lived thru that for six weeks in 2020 when all they did was make cars honk from dawn to dusk, because that seemed like activism. I will NOT tolerate that lack of vision again!

Gen Z pal recently learned about half-mast death honors, so every time we saw a fully erect American flag yesterday: “They must hate Catholics for disrespecting the Pope like that.” Reminds me of the “Songs of Faith” episode of “American Idol:” most singers not acclaiming Christ got kicked off.
