I am more than aware of this. It was obvious when the the Bernie Sanders Dank Meme Stash became a Facebook group that inspired multiple people I know to write him onto their ballots when he was no longer a candidate. It was such an obvious troll farm. Gamergate. All of was a windup to disaster.

He exerted enormous power inside the far right and used it to advocate for real fascism. It’s not a difference of opinion. We aren’t debating soy milk versus oat milk. He would have put me and every queer on the wall if he had a chance and his posse I’m glad he’s dead.

I have this really clear memory of sitting in London, reading Twitter in the middle of Gamergate. And I said right that second: Gamergate is recruitment and bootcamp for internet savvy men who hate women, queers, immigrants etc. and now rhere’s a nerd faction fight and Charlie Kirchhoff is dead.
