I work, I Mom, and I somehow survive. It’s sweet, it’s messy, it’s a little unhinged—but that’s life, right? (Or is it just me?) Dry humor and the occasional moment where you can’t tell if I’m serious or joking. Spoiler: Neither can I.
Finally back on here, feels like it’s been forever! What’s new with everyone? Any wins, chaos, life updates? I missed this space.

Anyone else way stricter with their little girl than their older boy? Like, why does he get to roam free while she has to check in every 30 seconds? Am I the problem?

Y’all, I’ve been MIA but I miss you! Flu and all that fun stuff. What’s been happening here? Catch me up!

I came home and showed my daughter my new nail color, and she cried.

I asked my husband today, “When do I get to rest?” and he was like, “Oh, tonight, duh.”

No, sir… when do I actually get to rest? This 24/7 grind is earning me three new grays a day.

Living in a small town means the local Mexican restaurant is just a 1/4-mile walk away—chips and salsa for the kids, margaritas for Mama and Dada. A family outing and self-care all in one.

Am I… Am I living the dream?

Just over here growing avocado trees in my free time, because clearly, I needed more responsibilities.

My boy asked for cereal, so I poured a bowl. Then he said, “I didn’t mean that cereal.” So I poured another bowl. My girl saw him eating and said, “I want cereal too!” Now there are three untouched bowls of cereal on the table.

Anyone figure it out yet? We’re over here still trying to find when dinner happened..

Work 5am, off 6pm, basketball 7pm, dinner? Done 8pm, bath 8:30… dinner? Bedtime 9pm… dinner???

It’s way too early in the week for my kitchen to be this messy. This is a Thursday-level mess. Come on.

Anyone excited for Monday, or are we all just counting down to Friday happy hour already? Too early?

Weighted blanket… Kid immediately snoring… Why has no one told me about this magic before?

Took my girl on a coffee and Bath & Body Works date today. She picked out all the sparkly stuff, told me I smelled good, and convinced me to buy a candle I’ll never light. 10/10, would date her again.

Balancing mom life, wife life, and work life is like juggling flaming swords while riding a unicycle—except the swords keep yelling “Mama!”, the unicycle has a flat tire, and I answer to someone named “The Boss”—kids, husband, boss boss. Ya know?

I feel like my life is just walking into a room, forgetting why I’m there, walking back out, and hearing, ‘Mama, can you…?’ on repeat. Then the cycle starts over, and somehow I end up in the laundry room.

Doing dishes. Faucet head falls off. Jet stream hits my face, the fridge, and sprays like a deflating balloon.

Panic—I turn off the water with…the light switch. No… wrong.

Finally turn off the water. Kids and husband in shock. Comedy-club laughter breaks the silence. I bow.

Favorite part of life right now:

Cooking while my kids sit at the kitchen island with their iPads, chit-chatting away. I shovel plates of food in front of them, they eat and eat, and I just stand there, watching them.

If I don’t respond to my girl right away, it’s “Mama, mAmA, MAMA!!!” on repeat until I’m so overstimulated I finally fold with, “WHAT, what, what is it??”

“Look at Elsa’s hair, see it??”

Yes, girl. I see it. I see it.

I caught my husband playing Barbies with our girl.

He had Barbie fixing a car when she told him, “No, Dada, she doesn’t do that, she’s a princess.”

Watching him adjust to royal life might be the highlight of my week.

My daughter cried because I didn’t cut her toast into triangles. I fixed it, and then she cried because “now it’s broken.” It’s fine. I’m fine.

It took me 3 months to realize I was still carrying around my kiddo’s “special rock” in my purse—the one she never let me forget about… until she did. Just found it during a purse cleanout.

Parenting for me is saying ‘be careful’ 75 times a day while my kids invent new and creative ways to hurt themselves—and then they act shocked when it happens.

My boy keeps referencing moments from our road trip, and it’s hitting me how much the time we spend together really matters. Priorities for 2025? Shifting…
