If you're not struggling with funds for food; or preparing food due to time; eating a well balanced diet is going to do more for you than dieting.

A healthy mix of veggies; protiens; starches and fats will go a lot further than just cutting food.

I hope you can achieve your weight lose goals.

Your best bet; stay moderatly active, and drink water over other liquids.

Watching how many calories you are actually taking in on a daily basis can also help identify if something is unnaturally high in calories (you'd be shocked at how bad some foods are)
Not saying diet; just be mindful of food.
