Quote of the day: “This is the last time the animals will see a truck.” The livestreamers protesting about the ostriches are unironically hilarious. I don’t think ostriches care whether it’s their last day seeing a truck.

A 57-year-old woman has tragically died following a large fire at a farm outside Casselman, Ontario

This was the same farm where the conspiratorial "Save the Children Convoy" group set-up a commune and camped out over the winter two years ago:

I am now watching the amalgamated Lindsay/Cobourg bail court, where Bill will be appearing later today. Justice of the Peace Joni Glover presiding, which will make Bill very happy - she's his favourite (she approved his last wholly inadequate sureties).
Derek Reimer was reportedly scheduled to appear in court on May 9th, according to a social media post.
Derek Reimer was appealing his conviction on criminal harassment charges for actions that occurred during a drag story time event. He was also found guilty of breaching release on bail conditions.
Controversial street preacher Derek Reimer was arrested again, according to a social media post made by his wife.
Her comment section is even more eventful.

According to @thecourtcat.bsky.social , Moose was arrested.
Elliot "Moose" McDavid says he's running for MP in Grande Prairie.
Positive impact? Regardless of their background? Every voice? Really rich coming from the guy who's infamous for yelling at Freeland and trying to intimidate drag queens and trans people.
I try to steer away from that case. I do sometimes follow it along.
While everyone was focused on the court hearing of Christopher Barber and Tamara Lich, another courtroom in Ottawa found the "Freedom Convoy hot tub guy" guilty. However, none of the charges were related to the infamous hot tub. Stay tuned.

I have a few drafts of texts regarding court appearances that I haven’t published yet. I'll publish them shortly. Thank you for staying with me despite my inconsistency on social media.
In the last few weeks, I spent time visiting her in the hospital. Her cancer had spread over the past few years and had reached her brain. It was painful to see her suffer from strokes and endure so much physical pain. I was there when she passed away, and grieving has been hard.
