So looking forward to Danny Boyle and Alex Garland’s new film in the “28…” series. For anyone wondering about the “music” used it’s this reading of a Kipling poem about the horrors of marching in WWI. Amazing unconventional choice. Thanks to @flashfilms.bsky.social for the find.

Hey #filmsky maybe if we start regularly tagging & talking about @criterion.bsky.social they’ll get FOMO. Recently watched Orson Welles’ THE TRIAL in 4k. The fact that it’s rarely mentioned alongside Citizen Kane and Touch of Evil is damn near criminal.

What’s your fav surprise criterion find?

Finally torched my Xitter account. One of the things that bummed me out was deleting a run of alternate movie posters I made years ago. One every day for a couple months.

The rules:

- 30 min limit
- Using only phone photo apps
- images from Google images

For every like I’ll post another

If you see this, post a concert photo you took.

This is easily the closest I’ve ever stood at a major concert. Pearl Jam at the LA Forum back in may. Both nights.

Nine Inch Nails' iconic "Closer" video premiered 30 years ago today. Years back I edited a 28 minute making-of feature with commentary by director Mark Romanek, for a DVD that was never (officially) released, but you can still watch the whole feature here: vimeo.com/3704806

Hard to believe NIN's classic The Downward Spiral is 30 years old today! Here's some detail photography I took of the original album cover painting by Russell Mills for the 10th anniversary deluxe edition release I designed back in 2004.

Currently sitting at jury duty waiting on names to be called for a trial and a guy in his 70’s gets up and, sounding exactly like The Dude, says:

“Hey, I don’t have an excuse per se, and I don’t wanna lie but, man, I’m pretty unreliable.”

And they excused him.

This is Southern California.
