Comic of Jua in a black space, embracing a glowing white figure, her great aunt. Jua: Oh Auntie... I feel like I'm changing... And... I don't know what to do. A strip panel shows a close up of Jua's eye as the dream version of her aunt speaks: “Oh my girl... change is nothing to be afraid of. It's part of nature. Flora will adjust their need of water to adapt to a desert. Creatures will undergo evolution so that they may continue to live. It is the same for us solarians. Sometimes, we must change... sometimes suffering is needed in order to be reforged.” As the text progresses, it slowly changes from white to a dark red. As the panel progresses, it shows Jua's eye going from pensive, looking downward as she listens closely, then confusion when wild white hair begins to fill her vision. It is not the same soft white fur of her great aunt's. Instead of her aunt, Jua finds herself nestling against a nightmarish version of Jietong, the tyrant that's holding her captive in his kingdom. This is the beginning of everything she believes in starting to blur with the king's barbaric perception.
