#WIPWednesday More from my Gummi Bears Soul-mark AU, this time looking into how I'm incorporating the Gummi Bears into this AU.

And yes for you Gruffi x Gusto shippers, Gruffi's soulmate is Gusto but this is before Gusto shows up in the show, so no one knows that.

"Then why have I never seen one on me? Or heard you, Grammi and Gruffi talking about it." Sunni questions, voice obviously confused at this fact which she doesn't seem to know about her own people.
"Well, because you're not old enough to have been given one Sunni and ours isn't on our hands like humans ones. Ours are on our feet." Zummi explains to both girls before lifting up his left foot and showing a dark line of Gummi bear writing on the pad of his foot to them, "See, it says Blueberry Gummi, she was my wife and true love before she passed. And well...unfortunately since it had been so long between the generations of new Gummi's that by the time you and your brothers where born. Both me and Grammi's true loves had passed, and Graffi was never able to meet his. Plus since none of you were old enough yet, it didn't seem prudent to tell you." Zummi continues to explain as he put his foot down, voice a little morose at the mention of his former true love.

"Wait, what do you mean that Sunni isn't old enough to receive one?" Calla asked, her brow farrowed and confused at the information being presented to her.

"Well, Calla, instead of Gummi bears being born with a true love or soul mark like you humans are, we get ours when we're around fifteen. And it's more often a Gummi's that that Gummi interacts with in their daily lives, at least according to notes left in the Great Book about things like soul-marks and true loves, instead of seemingly completely random as it is with you humans." Zummi patiently explained to the human girl, "In fact this was going to be one of Sunni's future lessons." Zummi turns to Sunni to explain, "So Sunni we'll be going over this in much more detail in about a month with Cubbi and Tummi."

What you enjoyed about this project: I love writing about morality and pairing it with some fantastical gender-bending and exploration of one’s identity. This concept is perfect for that, and I really grew to love some of the characters I created for it.

Where you intend to go with this or your next project: Not sure, lots of ideas.

What was your favourite moment? I’d say the confrontation between Edward and his mother in the route I call the « Hometown » route.

What do you hope the reader gets out of the experience? I want them to have a good time, and hopefully take a liking to some of the characters. And also maybe some questioning regarding morality, I suppose?

Anything else you'd like to say about it: Well, this story has been really close to my heart ever since I started working on it, some characters are almost self-inserts to some extent.

What do you hope the reader gets out of the experience?: I worked my ass off to cram as much sensory detailing into under 5k words as I possibly could, so I'm really hoping people can envision the grotto as vividly as I did while writing!

What was your favourite moment? Oh god, I have a few! Tobias and Leah both bitching about Noah getting them lost and the intro to the grotto where curiosity tempered caution are both ones I'm really proud of

Where you intend to go with this or your next project: At some point, I *will* finish Untamed Echoes! I'm a little under two-thirds through the second draft of the full novel, so I'm hoping that within the next year I'll have it in a place where I'll be looking into publishing options!

Absolute chef's kiss. Writing the push and pull between Tobias's cool dominance and Noah's near feral attitude never ever fails to make me smile (and make poor Leah squirm...) and I loved putting them in a scenario where they were all basically slaves to their biology.
