Basketball has rules you learn about when you’re six. The rules morph as the athleticism increases. At the NBA level, the rules exist but are arbitrarily ignored in order to promote the physicality. So when a rule is broken on every possession, the calls become random so as not to bog down the game.

Trump talked of gov’t corruption when explaining his donations to politicians on both sides. He was going to drain the swamp of these types. Now Pam Bondi is his AG nominee. In 2013 she declined to join a fraud investigation of Trump U after he donated $25k to her campaign.

A possibility is that Trump did a favor for Mike Johnson by nominating Matt Gaetz. Gaetz, a threat to any House Speaker, as ringleader of the “motion to vacate” squad, is now gone. Taylor Greene has been muted, Boebert isn’t capable, Paul Gosar is feeble. House majority will shed that rule.
