Dogs have always been welcome at The Grapes. Our regulars know this, and we've decided it's time everyone else did too.

Our latest regular is Archie, a chihuahua with excellent taste in pubs and loves a lap to sit on. Swipe to meet him properly!

He knows a good spot when he finds one!

Part of our Saturday vinyl sessions led by @iamzackiechan. A rotating crew of Bath selectors, each with their own record collection and a different take on what makes a good night.

This Saturday is the turn of Sissy Lee, who will be filling your lug-holes with floor fillers and great grooves!

We keep Clear Head by Bristol Beer Factory on the bar all year-round. Low alcohol, proper flavour.

Two American hops bring citrus and stone fruit to the glass, while a touch of lactose rounds it out with a subtle creaminess. Sharp apple notes, crisp finish, enough body to hold its own.

Thursday evenings at The Grapes belong to traditional Irish folk.

From 8pm, a group of local musicians gather in the bar with fiddles, guitars, bodhráns, and whatever else the evening calls for.

Usually six or more around the table. Always Thursday, always 8pm.

See you there!

Wednesday nights are settling back into their familiar rhythm at The Grapes. From 9pm, the bar fills with jazz as local musicians take up their instruments and the week finds its midpoint groove.

It's what Wednesday evenings here have always been about!

Got a "write more music" resolution gathering dust already?

Howlin' Hans is hosting a Songwriting Circle tonight from 8pm - the perfect excuse to dust off that guitar, grab a pint, and actually get some words down.

No pressure, no judgement, just good people making music together.

WHAT A NIGHT!

Would you believe we only shut the doors 8 hours ago, and now we're back open again?? Yes, we're mad...mad about great hospitality (we might be a bit delirious...).

Enjoy some hair of the dog, a coffee, and later some Irish Folk to soothe foggy heads or start the New Year right!
January 1, 2026 at 12:00 PM
The skiffle circle gathers for its seasonal session in the bar at 4pm TODAY!

Expect washboards, tea chest bass, and the kind of joyful, ramshackle energy that defined a generation of British folk music.

An afternoon of music, mischief, and good cheer to mark the festive season!
