On my mother’s birthday I do things she'd have enjoyed. It was a golden autumn day perfect for interisland ferry knitting. The sky was magnificent, and my Dignity Cap design sample is ready for crown decreases. Happy birthday, Mama.

Sadly, the nursery I like is having a retirement sale. Most plants have new homes, but I found these #Succulents. The first is a fascinating #BlackRoseAeonium, perfect for the season and mood. I think the second is #HenAndChicks. Perfectly pointy.

Swatchy swatchy colors to set gauge for my next #DignityCap. DK from my mother's stash (bottom) is heavier than more recent yarn like Highland and Marmalade colorways of Jody Long's Alba DK. Curious. Because the older yarn is from Norway and made >15 years ago?

The design is 100% knitted and includes two pouch sizes: regular and roomy. Lace segments aren’t as revealing as they seem. Instead, they are suggestive ventilation. 😏
