“You can hear the sound
Of the underground trains
You know it feels like distant thunder….” On my headphones.
It just occurred to me that “Rough-hewn” doesn’t get used enough outside of academia these days. As in ‘his twig and berries are a bit rough-hewn’. Nice use of contrapposto though.
Wonderful summation of British bureaucracy “using the money we give to spend on bins to pay for signs that say no littering”.
I have named the squirrel in my garden Klaus Squirrelinski. Now all I have to do is persuade the squirrels to pull a miniature steam boat over a mound of dirt and get it on film. I might need some nuts to keep Klaus compliant.
You might be on to something there. 😂
Might be going a bit stir crazy, just caught myself wandering the house doing a Werner Herzog impression saying ‘I did not do it for Art, I did not do it for love, I did it for the money!’. I’m going to go outside, get some fresh air and Werner away a bit of time with the squirrels.🐿️ 🎬🎥🪢⛴️
I’ve been reading lists of collective nouns.I’m quite fond of ‘an armoury of aardvarks’ and ‘a wunch of bankers’. Send me your favourites or favourite made up ones. #writing
It has been a very lazy Sunday. I’m laid up with some lurgy I contracted from being around people in the wild. Still, it’s not all bad, time to chat and read some of the leaning tower of books by my bed and no-one is bothering me apart from kind offers of tea and biscuits.
“Two; no, six; no, twelve, baker's dozen!
I told you that I'm crazy for these cupcakes, cousin.” Lazy Sunday
I missed the full Building Cinematic Worlds Exhibition but there were a few things still on display at the BFI. #BFI #RisleyScott #BuildingCinematicWorlds
Went to see the 35mm directors cut of Bladerunner at the BFI last week. What a treat! #film #movies #Bladerunner #RidleyScott #35mm

Sign O the Times by Prince. An album I love, used to own and finally replaced with a first pressing in excellent condition. As a friend gave it to me at such a good price I had to buy the 12”s of Alphabet St and Sign O the Times too…, be rude not to. #records #music
Jazz Impressions of Japan by The Dave Brubeck Quartet. Took a bit of a punt on this album. The back cover is a good read. I’ll give it a spin tomorrow.
The Beyond by Fabio Frizzi. A magnificent score by Frizzi. Not your usual Italian horror soundtrack. This was a bit of a lucky find.
Stranger Things OST. The one with the actual soundtrack and not the compilation one. Thought I’d missed the boat on this one.
Stranger Things 1 OST. The one with the actual composed soundtrack, not the compilation, thought I’d missed the boat on this one.
Word up figles! Sorry for going awol, I’ve been bailing out water from democracy’s basement, you know how RL can be…
Charlie Rouse - Bossa Nova Bacchanal (RE).
Miles Davis - Sketches of Spain (RE). As I wasn’t in the market for the 65th Anniversary edition (pricey) I thought I’d buy the cheaper but none the less enjoyable standard reissue edition. “Nice”

Definition of a Quot: someone who pronounces the word aquatic “Aquotic”.
In fact it’s probably worth upgrading your stylus for.
….highly recommend the Tone Poet series. Absolute quality.
