My sanguinary guard are better than the ones GW sells, and it's still bland compared to the old kits because the legs and torso are featureless, just like all primaris marines. Space marines aren't allowed to look special anymore.

On the left is the sanguinary guard head option that came with the 2014 Blood Angels upgrade sprue.

The right is the best (fight me) head option for the new and 'improved' sanguinary guard kit from 2024. And you only get one like this, btw.

I've concluded I can't brute force myself into being motivated to paint, so I've decided to just assemble some models instead. Knocked Dante together this afternoon. Excellent model, almost no mould lines 👌

Taking pictures of what I've painted:

This pair of Dungeon Meshi anime figures probably come in at the 2nd and 3rd largest miniatures that I've painted. I really am proud of the look of the food as well as my metallic armor (with no metallic pigmented paint) and the texture I brought into it all

I found out there's a new Red Sonja film, and trying to find out any information about it is hard because of the deluge of anti-woman YouTubers making slop content. Oh, well. I guess I'm gonna have to go into this one blind, which is the best way to enjoy sword and sorcery movies, really!
