for me it was getting into college aimlessly and hating it, major depression. Started drawing for fun. i thought about maybe turning it into a carreer but I didn't know what the plan was tbh. Eventually it worked out nicely thankfully.
I was gearing up to finish high school and study geology but then grandma died, mom died, uncle and aunt died, cat died, plane crashed.
And I decided to take art a bit more seriously for a bit as a distraction, and that distraction turned into a serious thing.
And I guess it kinda worked out.
