Yeah, thats super fair and im sure it'll get to that point after waaaay more hours are sunk in. It's connecting the bridges that sometimes takes time for me. Even if it's explained and shown I'm a complete dud until I've done all the parts multiple times and connect them after.

which to me has infinite value because ultimately I want to be able to just doodle something that pops in my mind in under 30mins to the point where I'm satisfied. It doesn't have to be my best or "good" just make it exist and make me happy. Save the real effort/energy for the important stuff/comms

I think you may be right. I still can't get exactly what I want by doing it that way but there is a different understanding with my muscle memory between what I'm looking at or thinking about and my hand now. I can kinda do certain parts of a drawing without having to fully construct it now.

Oh I see and I think that's super valid. I think deep down all "poets just want to be heard" stands true for any form of creation. We can create for ourselves but also want it to be enjoyed by others. That might be a bit of projection on my part but idk a single artist who creates solely for
