but I get to put together events where I get to see people that look just like me or face the same hardships as me smile, laugh and dance in a space built just for us if only for a moment. Walk into a room and feel welcome. something of home. I remember how that room lit up. Hearing how welcome

Just recently was able to get my hands on the photos from a project I’ve let sit on the back burner for a couple years. It’s hard being anything but us right now. We are being kidnapped, killed and go missing everyday. now more than ever. I can’t say I’m not afraid of what is going to happen.

We keep our culture alive.
