There are some reasons why small fees might be asked for BUT do not pay large sums.

You don't need to put referees on your CV

If the company needs references during the application process they will ask for them

It saves space to lose them from your CV and allows you to choose the best people when offered a job

Had some teaching in the summer where the feedback from students was overwhlemingly a lack of trust for traditional news platforms.

It's sad to hear

So on #WorldNewsDay it's important to remember that proper journalism and an ambition to get to the truth is very much needed.
