This newsletter was particularly hard to write until I decided to just speak from the heart. If you want a transparent look at how my 1 year old small business is doing, the link is in the quoted post.
"If I could sum up this past year, it would be the seemingly endless exercise in convincing myself that everything I've worked on this past year wasn't a complete waste of time, and that my life choices weren't a huge mistake.": learngit.io/posts/i-quit...

This describes my experience with AI coding tools as well. Having resisted until a couple months ago, I'm blown away, but also see how much spaghetti code could be produced if an underlying understanding of the code or best practices isn't there.
It feels to me like cruise control on the highway. You can kinda point it in the right direction and it *mostly* stays on track.

But it does need to be nudged now and then. I’ll see it doing something funky and step in.

If I didn’t know how to do this myself, it would quickly become a big mess.

Just joined Bluesky and thankful there is an alternative to Twitter. My main focus is still YouTube (www.youtube.com/@themodernco...), but I am interested in how Bluesky might be a better for community engagement. YouTube comments are nice but disjoined, and YT community posts still aren't the best
