The world we live in is changing. Change isn’t the problem. The speed of said change is. It’s analogous to the famous euphemism that falling doesn’t kill you but rather the sudden stop. In this instance it’s the breakneck speed in which me are being ripped apart at.

Hope is a powerful drug. Unfortunately, I’m still unsure whether it’s an hallucinogen or a remedy.

I know that what I am asking is impossible. But in our time, as in every time, the impossible is the least that one can demand and one is, after all, emboldened by the spectacle of human history.
All this is happening in the richest and freest country in the world and in the middle of the twentieth century. The subtle and deadly change of heart that might occur in you would be involved with the realization that a civilization is not destroyed by wicked people but only that they be spineless.
