While true, what I mean is the continuations feel very derivative, you know how some people weren’t big on TOTK cause it was a very straightforward continuation of BOTW? That’s what like half of the PS5’s big titles feel like

Ghost of Yotei and some responses to it feel emblematic of a growing problem I’ve felt with the PS5 where it kinda just feels like “The PS4 part 2”

So many of its defining games just feel like “more” of what the PS4 created. Here’s more GOW, more Spider-Man, more Horizon, more Ghost, etc.

I mean it’s just true that most new IPs don’t sell as well as beloved established ones. For every Expedition 33 you have like 10 okay sellers at best, and even that didn’t sell like a mega franchise

One thing a lot of gamers should try is giving games another chance later on in life

You’d be amazed how much your tastes can change. I did not like Link to the Past, Crash Bandicoot, or Hollow Knight originally, but when I gave them another shot years later they finally clicked

Legit with how bad pricing is getting for video games and consoles, Steam just has to keep doing their thing and will succeed by default. Those deals only become more enticing
