anyway i don't take it too seriously one way or another bc people are just tossing posts off on social media and it really isn't that deep an analysis, i mostly just want book recs and also you know. idk! it depends!
also this is purely personal and also i very much get why people don't but every time someone is like, "uh there's plenty of transgressive, weird, thoughtful, etc work being produced now," i really wish they'd drop names lol i want recs!!!
also, not to state the obvious, but it is not super surprising to me that the 50, 100, 200 year old stuff that hasn't been lost to the dustbin of history is like. generally pretty good.
not to be like "idk it depends" but i do find it a little annoying when people talk about old books being Better. there are certain trends in books right now i find super annoying and offputting, and i don't like when a book sounds like the author is scared of getting yelled at on twitter

doing the black ship mission in RT while nodding my head in full support of the rogue psykers. good for them tbh. plus nurgle seems chill as hell, all things considered.
