Oh yes. I hear you. I ended up working on intranets, writing and editing for government departments, libraries, hospitals and nonprofits. Dull work but steady and they actually need writers. They tend to be suspicious of AI, too.

libraries have an amazing suite of free digital access memberships. i use the digital catalogues of my local library, my state library and the national library of australia to access everything from movies and audiobooks to international newspaper archives and even academic journals.
