I have two full size Daleks in my possession, 2005 bronze and 1966 silver.

Neither are screen used but are built from screen accurate moulds.

I almost collapsed when @seanlongmore.bsky.social said I'd have a chance to have a go at this iconic design and tune it up slightly.

We brought back the original intended blue livery based on the original ungraded renders by Alex Mallinson.

A lot of that is the colour grading, here's a look at the model in a more neutral lit environment.

Matte red finish works best and feels the most authentic, gloss red wouldn't have been used for a 60s TV prop (see the matte black Supremes) and also helps contrast against the movie versions imo.
