Later, I joined another course regarding character design.

And here is my OC, Penumbra. A superheroine who fights crime at night, wields a katana sword and can camouflage herself via shadow-melding.

I then joined this awesome disabilities program called Exceptional Minds where people of the spectrum can apply for various film courses like animation, voice acting, and visual effects. Here’s some short 2D animated entries I made myself.

I had no involvement in this film, but I’ve been looking forward to The Sensational Catman by Austin McConnell and SpikeyTortoise (none of them are in Bluesky). The film will be a part of the superhero genre mixed with film noir and it is planned to release this summer.

This is why I blocked the YouTube site, switched my search bar from Google to DuckDuckGo and watch all the videos I want to see on DuckTube (a privacy option when watching YouTube videos).

BTW, I’m sorry you have to witness all that grifter slop everywhere you go.

And this is why I’m not gonna waste money on A Minecraft Movie. Better to just watch at home than in a theater with unsupervised kids.

And if certain theaters and countries start banning the Minecraft movie to prevent such chaos, I wouldn’t be surprised.

I have a small rant myself. I feel like YouTube shouldn’t be the only platform to promote indie animated content. While some use Twitch, TikTok, and Newgrounds, which is fine, but I’d like to see them try more decentralized alternatives like PeerTube.

I know this sounds like the most dumbest idea ever heard, but if we really want make a change like this, we need to persuade as many creators and audiences as possible to contribute to this change.

And who knows, YouTube can finally start crumbling a bit to its doom.
