what's shown here is actually 4/5 of the full sheet. it's a lot more than i usually use so i might scan this later
drawing of a morrison jump gyrodyne (specifically an MJG-400) rolling to the right to evade two missiles the gyrodyne is heading a bit to the left and into the horizon, so there's a good view of the left wing, body and back stabilizers while the right wing is obscured the wings have pylons with contra-rotating forward propellers, and there's a mast on top of the main body for the main rotor. the mast has a decal for "khanh AIR-KRANE SALVAGE OPERATIONS" with the first word encircled by stylized rotor motion lines the main body is divided into 8 visible sections. the sections have, from furthest to closest: 1. part of the aircraft nose 2. the cockpit windshield and a voltic discharge emitter turret 3. side windows and doors 4. warning marks indicating where the forward propellers are 5. the wings and side windows on the front half of the section 6. side windows on the rear half of the section 7&8. the rear cargo hatch, a "KN47F9" decal, horizontal stabilizers and vertical stabilizers the gyrodyne rolling to the right is giving the voltic discharge emitter a better angle for shooting down the two missiles chasing it. it looks like there's 10 shots, and one of them has ripped through the leftmost missile the design of the MJG-400 and the Khanh Air Crane Operations company are from the comic series Rotorhead by The Rat Forge: https://www.patreon.com/collection/1889958

that's everything before the inking phase. well... except for the wing flaps moving, i just realized...
the top propeller feels super off but that's probably the part i guesstimated the most
sketch of a compound gyroplane evading two missiles the gyroplane is heading a bit to the left and into the horizon, so there's a good view of the left wing, body and back stabilizers while the right wing is obscured the wing ailerons are supposed to be moving to show that the gyroplane is rolling to the right, but they're in a neutral position at the moment. the wings have pylons with contra-rotating forward propellers, and there's a mast on top of the main body for the main rotor the main body is divided into 8 visible sections. the sections have, from furthest to closest: 1. part of the aircraft nose 2. the cockpit windshield and a voltic discharge emitter turret 3. side windows and doors 4. warning marks indicating where the forward propellers are 5. the wings and side windows on the front half of the section 6. side windows on the rear half of the section 7&8. the rear cargo hatch, horizontal stabilizers and vertical stabilizers the voltic discharge emitter is shooting at the two missiles chasing the gyroplane. there are 10 shots visible, and one of them has ripped through the leftmost missile

...how is the actual gyroplane drawing going?
a bit better than i expected, actually. i have no idea how thick i should draw this whole back stabilizer part so i may need to ask the designer about that
i am also afraid of taking too long figuring out the gunfire effects i posted about previously
