Some things are clear to me:
1) David Stearns has a plan for the #Mets
2) NONE of us will have any clue what the next steps are until he's ready to reveal them. (Who had Semien on their bingo card?)

The decision to ultimately trade Brandon Nimmo from the #Mets was...Brandon Nimmo's. Full no trade means he requested it or approved it. He will have his reasons, financial (TX no income tax), other personal/political, family, etc. This could be a very non-baseball motivated trade overall.

I'm not sold on the free agent market for pitching. It's even worse than last year and last year wasn't great. My favorite option for the #Mets on the trade market is Joe Ryan. We can acquire and potentially extend by buying out final arbitration years. If we really want Skubal, wait a year.

Sigh, unreal how people think they "fix" the #Mets by doing the exact shit that has made the team such a laughingstock. They spent all that money and missed the playoffs (SPEND MORE!). They don't develop prospects (TRADE FOR RENTALS!). 2024 the worst thing that happened to Stearns' long term plan.

I just don't understand why we can spend like drunken sailors on free agents from other teams but have to be financially prudent on our own. Pay Edwin, pay Pete. They will sign with rivals and haunt us if we dont. #MetsSky

#MetsSky This is driving me nuts. A lot of people saying "Pete needs to DH" and replacing him with people who HAVE NEVER PLAYED FIRST BASE. Pete's defensive shortcomings are vastly overblown and i know he never will he an elite defender but hes also not the worst at the position.
