So I'm just over half way through my time at Moonpig in the UK - I've been helping the team build offline testing infrastructure, tools and processes, implement analytics and dashboards and tune their search (based on OpenSearch) for the maximum business benefit...[1/3]
..to make it sound more complicated and rigorous than it actually is, and as an actual (electronic) engineer myself this seems a little silly. Actual engineering helps bridges stay up, planes fly, cars drive and prevents your kettle from exploding...this is not the same. [2/2]
Apparently 'content engineering' is now a thing, e.g. making new content all with AI. This follows on the heels of 'prompt engineering' e.g. working out how to tell the AI what to do by writing instructions in plain English. You can append 'engineering' to anything...[1/2]
