Sodorgust Day 14 - Nature

“Look there, Timothy! Look! Deer! We don’t see many of those down here! I wonder what they’re doing here?"
“Yes, Marion. That’s nice,” panted the little oil-burner, more concerned with keeping the bumbling steam shovel moving up the steep incline.

I present, Petra the Canadian Engine

Made by the lovely @codysrailway.bsky.social
A more tense and on-edge kind of persona. He's fresh from the scrapyard and desperate to prove himself worth of being a Fat Controller’s Engine. Because of this, I imagine he's a bit of an overthinker and takes on more work than he's capable of handling.
Long have I waited for this day

My take on Lady from Thomas & the Magic Railroad. I wanted to try to keep her proportions and shape language the same, but detail her as a realistic steam locomotive.
#ttte #tatmr #train #trains
Digital painting of a small magenta maroon tank engine on an overgrown piece of track near a hill. She has the name "Lady" in cursive written on her side tanks. She is Lady from Thomas & the Magic Railroad, a small 0-4-0 side tank engine with magenta boiler, tanks, cab, bunker, and wheels, a black smokebox, and golden lining. She has many golden or brass accents, including a fluted dome and chimney cap, safety valve, whistle, wheel cranks, connecting rods, and buffers. She has a black smokebox door and no face, and a screw link hook and chain coupler on her front. Various other realistic details are seen in various nooks and crannies.

Sodorgust Day 13 - Exploit

“Wait until Edward here’s about this one,” chortled Henry, feeling the train between the two diesels and their trains.

Sodorgust Day 12 - Coal

James grumbled endlessly as he found the trucks. He couldn't understand what was so "special" about this coal, or why only Henry could have it.
"I'm bringing him this filthy lot. Surely I deserve a taste."
The trucks groaned. It was going to be a long trip.

Sodorgust Day 11 - Vanity

James wasn’t the most self-aware engine, especially when it came to others confusing his pride for vanity.
But after speaking to the new diesel at the junction only once, he figured an apology to the other engines was in order.

Sodorgust Day 10 - Shed

“What a small shed!” grumbled Sir Handle. “This won’t do at all!”
“I think it’s nice,” said Peter Sam.
“Huh! What’s that rubbish?”

Sodorgust Day 9 - Adventure

And so, with ramshackle sideplates cobbled together, Bill and Ben were put to work at the quarry with Mavis. They loved travelling through town and seeing new faces. They missed their home, but this new adventure, they decided, might be worthwhile after all.

Feeling warmed with emotions after Holly and I finally got married, and to have celebrated it with so many people we love. 🤍

Thank you all for your well wishes, and ESPECIALLY to everyone who helped us on the day...

🚂

...because you can bet that trains were involved. 🧵
Sodorgust Day 8 - Nervous

Molly was already nervous about making a good first impression on the other engines. But after a rude remark from Emily about her pulling the “empties”, she had all but confirmed her woes.

An Angry tank engine screaming about her paint!
Sodorgust Day 7 - Post

At night, when the other engines are tucked in their sheds, you can still hear the faraway call of an engine’s whistle and the clickety-clack of train wheels turning.

This is the sound of the post train.

Sodorgust Day 6 - Return

Dudley was soon coupled to a long line of wagons. Bear and Donald watched as he stormed away with much hooshing and huffing. Into the setting sun, he puffed and disappeared on the horizon.

Sodorgust Day 5 - Overworked

Percy and Toby were rushed off their wheels. The newly-renovated harbour meant that more ships were coming in, and more stone was being sent out. The two had to work long into the evening and barely had a chance to rest.

Sodorgust Day 4 - Rescue

The wind howled and the rain pelted down. But no matter the stakes, Barry struggled on through the storm, finding his courage with each turn of his wheels.

“Trains must get through,” he panted, “come rain or shine!”

#Sodorgust Day 4 - Rescue

Percy quickly heaved with all his might as rain pelted his boiler, it was now tug of war between him and angry sea that threatened to take ship and he couldn’t fail to rescue the sailors.
Sodorgust Day 3 - Sibling

“You’d like our Bluebell and Primrose. They’re twins, and as like two peas. They were pleased when our Controller gave them names. Some say he was wrong to do it; it certainly made them cocky!”

Sodorgust Day 2 - Freight

Murdoch was enjoying his new life on Sodor. The people were friendlier, and the trains were shorter. Most importantly, it was much quieter than the mainland.

Sodorgust Day 1 - Afternoon

After finishing his afternoon run, BoCo often looked forward to a snooze in the sheds. Today, however, Brendam was a very poor choice indeed. . .
