Update:

This was so darn good. I definitely need to grab the rest of these if they’re all like this. The final fight between Cushing and Lee is intense from start to finish and I really, really dig the 70s music to it. It works!

Shame Prince of Darkness isn’t anywhere.

I dunno what people expected George to say. He’s a realist and a professional. He understands the biz so he’d never speak out publicly against Disney’s vision, even if he maybe possibly has issues with it.

-I regret not meeting Madeleine McGraw at a horror convention I attended last month. She was literally across from me. She did so good in this movie and I now need to watch more of her work.

-The third act is so good. I just can’t describe it without spoilers but it goes HARD.

Finally got to see BLACK PHONE 2 with my fiancé. Main thoughts:

-Scott Derrickson and @crobertcargill.bsky.social absolutely fucking knocked it out of the goddamn park. I need them to get on that ELM STREET remake of my dreams ASAP. There’s like two scenes that closed that case for me.

Certainly Craig era. It’s a fact that we’re never going back from that run & what it did for at least 2 generations of Bond fans. All things considered he had the next longest tenure past Moore & that also wasn’t a horse you could buck anymore than this is. Dalton sadly learned this the hard way.

I personally think this is a great choice. She has always had the voice for it and wanted to do a Bond theme if you listen to her song “24.” It’s not something she’s hidden.

It’s always something to think about how Gert Fröbe and Sean Connery were both in THE LONGEST DAY (1962). Connery was still a fairly fresh new face and would play Bond that same year while Fröbe would play Goldfinger just two years later.

Overall, still such a damn good WWII movie.
