To be real with you I completely forgot about HATE with her so I may do this in a way that is "she has it but is unaware she has it." After all, I've been invested with Kurai and the Black Blood plot.

Perhaps I'll do something with HATE in the interaction.

Maybe she wanted to destroy them, instead of seal them away and Copper was just not having it. She saw him as an obstacle at that point. I believe Agate can still have the jealousy at play, but only because she couldn't beat him the first time.

I understand completely what you are implying, and this works for me with a little twist on it. I believe I always intended for Amber to be alive because she had her own thing with Agate entirely.

I think ultimately monsters will still be the catalyst for everything, differing beliefs and all.

At the same time, I like the idea of Amber being alive?? But Agate can see different timelines so that can be solved.

I wanted Amber to be caught up in that and have Agate to blame the monsters for an unfortunate death. Something along those lines. After seeing different timelines, I wanted her view of monsters to shift to pity and slight disgust.

Bete would still be known to Agate through this way.

Similarly to what Naki said, I wanted Agate and Copper's views to clash, on monsters and have Agate more on the "hypocritical, in denial" side of how she views them.

And I still do not think I'd have Bete exist.

I still do want Agate to meet Gaster and transverse through time and timelines, but until I get everything to make sense, she'll be as mysterious and eerie as possible.

Granted I have not reviewed her backstory in a minute.

Two major things I want to change: the reason for Copper and Agate's conflict and the nature/rippling effect of Amber's death. Both would shift the focus back on monsters.

"Trying to rework Agate completely away from GT as a whole. Before I tried to keep some of her backstory, but I know that I always had a problem with her conflict with copper and how easily she resorted to using Amber to prove a point.
