Just had a thought. Part of the reason why you get stuck in echochambers on social media with algorithmic systems may not be intentional. It could just be that the first social media relied on us connecting with people we know IRL and that's continued in modern times without re-evaluation.

Heard a great quote today in the context of people expecting others to work hard when they are being paid less than they are worth.

Anyone know of a way to not see posts which only allow for people to respond if the post creator follows? Seems ridiculous to me that I can see posts but can't comment on them. The whole point in this site is for conversation engagement.

Big praise for @schumer.senate.gov and the #democrats for not funding DHS due to lack of action to fix ICE. I hope that they continue to halt funding so DHS is entirely abolished. We are a mixing pot and an org dedicated to removal of our innocent foreign participants has no place in our culture .

We need to bring forums back and drop all this newer social media. Forums kept things organized, if you went off topic, a mod would remove your comment, if you brought up a topic that had been done to death, a mod would push you to the existing thread on it. They were organized by people that cared.

Just got off the phone with the IRS and with my local senator's office. Basically being told that "if you don't feel represented, you still have to pay taxes" which seems antithetical to the foundations of this country. Really does feel like America's foundations are BS in modern day.

This is a fantastic idea and I think it should be adopted. Maybe set minimum amounts that have to go to things that we need like infrastructure and government operations and let us allocate the rest to what we want. I shouldn't have to give my money to a government using it to kill innocent people.
I think we should be able to allocate our taxes directly to the government departments. No need to have congress fail to pass a budget, rather let people pick their funding priorities…

I don't understand how the @arkencounter.com uses fossil fuels or "gas" in their vehicles when gas takes several million years to develop while claiming the earth is 6k years old and that dinosaur bones are placed there by 'the devil'. Does that mean that, by extension, "gas" is the "devil"'s tool?
